The food industry uses technology that is just as sensitive and sophisticated as that used in the field of medical technology. As ATC coating has been approved by the USDA, the ATC Armoloy process can also extend the life of components that are used to produce food or are exposed to aggressive media. Independent studies have shown that ATC Armoloy coating is neither toxic, nor does it trigger skin responses.
The ATC Armoloy coating may be brought into direct contact with food in accordance with EU Regulation No. 1935/2004.
This type of application has been used, for instance, for coating the components of machines that produce salad dressing, for pistons of pumps used in producing chocolate spray, or for blades used in the industrial processing of sausage products and cheese. A further example of this type of application is the coating of worm screws used in processing plastics from which PET bottle preforms are manufactured.
